Surveys were conducted in IDP schools located in Sumgait within the framework of "Education for Development" project implemented under the financial support of UNHCR. Two new schools - Lachin region Imanlar rural and Fuzuli region secondary school #40 were selected.

Three communities - Jabrayil region secondary school #4 ("Araz" community), Lachin region Minkend and Safiyan rural secondary schools, targeted under the project last year, were supported and selected.

Community meetings were arranged in each of the five selected and supported communities, and the people were provided with the information about the basic parameters of the project and activity directions, as well as the activities planned to be implemented in the area.

Needs, problems and resources of communities were analyzed in round tables, discussions were arranged related to the repair and reconstruction works to be conducted in the schools, and the suggestions were provided.

Initiative Groups were formed and the Community Funds were founded in newly formed communities. Funds' current situation were reviewed and analyses were conducted in supported communities. According to the outcomes of the analyses, funds' resources have increased due to the increase in a number of community members, and support by the community, as well as the activities in the direction of solution of community problems through the Fund reached to the new level from the point of view of their quantity and quality.
