On September 9, 2022, a round table was held on the topic of "Study of the current state of community-school relations and discussion of questionnaires on the participation of community members in the educational process" within the framework of the project titled "Initiative to support the socialization of management in education" implemented by the "Umid" Social Development Support Public Union ("Umid” SSD) with the financial support of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and methodological support of the Institute of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Baku City Education Department.
The round table was attended by the management of "Umid" SSD, members of the Public Council under the Institute of Education, the director of the Institute of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, staff members of the Baku Education Department, and heads of NGOs working in the field of education.
"Initiative to support the socialization of management in education" project, the study of the current state of community-school relations, and the presentation of questionnaires on community involvement in the educational process were all covered in detail during the event. The round table discussion continued with thoughts and recommendations from the participating experts regarding the completed questionnaires. Additionally, strategies for improving the effectiveness of the survey results were reviewed.
The first survey form created as part of the task "Investigation and study of the current state of community-school relations in the target communities" contains questions for researching parent-school relations, and the second survey form contains questions for researching the relationships of powerful community members, governmental organizations, and business owners with the school.
