As part of the project titled "IDP Community Mobilization and Capacity Development in Mingachevir, Goranboy, and Yevlakh,” which is funded by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and carried out by "Umid” Support to Social Development Public Union, seven preliminary research and informative meetings were held in 7 IDP communities in Yevlakh and Goranboy districts during March 13–17, 2023 (number of participants: 135 people, including 76 men, 69 women, and 25 young people). Throughout the meetings, community members received in-depth details about the project being carried out, pertinent information was gathered, and potential areas of cooperation were discussed.
Preliminary research and informative meetings were held in IDP communities
The main objectives of the "IDP Community Mobilization and Capacity Development in Mingachevir, Goranboy, and Yevlakh” project, which has been implemented since February of this year, are to strengthen the capacity of existing IDP communities to increase their resilience and prepare them to cope with the challenges of the forthcoming return process, inter alia, through Participatory Community Development and Apprenticeship methods.
