On February 16, 2007 ceremonies were arranged in Yevlakh region’s Samadabad and Goranboy region’s Eyvazlilar communities for opening the micro-projects implemented in these communities on usage of alternative energy sources. 
The micro-projects were realized within the "Support to Environment and Energy Initiatives” project implemented under financial support of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) and South Caucasian Pipelines Partners.

Projects - "Installation of a solar collector for provision of Samadabad village bathhouse with hot water” in Samadabad community of Yevlakh region, "Installation of a solar collector and Biogas unit for heating the water” in Eyvazlilar community of Goranboy region were realized according to community needs in result of assessments conducted in the communities.

The exploitation of the units draw a great interest of the population inhabiting the area, and was welcomed by the community members and entrepreneurs.
