Since the end of 2008, the projects on social awareness-raising about education problems encountered by the vulnerable children and on extension of education opportunities of such children are being implemented under Caucasus Education Initiative, which isunder implementation under financial support of OSI AF which includes Azerbaijan as well.
Measuresare taken on raising activity rate of refugee and internally displaced children, teaching them various trades and improving education quality in IDP schools within this initiative in Azerbaijan.
Since start of cooperation,"Umid" SSD PU has successfully implemented "Creating higher quality education facilities for internally displaced children" project in Zobujug settlements 1, 2 and 3 of Fuzuli regionunder financial suport of Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation (OSI AF)till December of 2010. During the years 2011 and 2012,"Umid" SSD implemented successfully"Intercultural Cooperation in theCaucasus / Azerbaijan" projects.Currently, cooperation between"Umid" SSD PUand OSI AF continueswithin the framework of "Tomorrow Begins Today / Azerbaijan / Phase III."project, and "Umid" SSD has undertookpreparation of methodical means and providing expert services within this project.
