On July 29, 2015 the opening ceremony of the "Repair of intra community roads" project was organized in Amirkhanli community of Shabran rayon, jointly implemented by Umid” Support to Social Development Public Union, Second Azerbaijan Rural Investment Project and Amirkhanli community within the European Union funded "Rural Sustainable Development Initiative” program. As result of the implementation of this project 8000 meter of intra community roads was rebuilt and different diameters of metal pipes were placed in several places for water crossings. In total, 2300 people living in community have benefited from this project and their safe, comfortable and efficient movement was improved. The opening ceremony was attended by local ExCom representative, Deputy Municipality, Community Development Council members, residents, as well as the "Umid” SSD’s and AzRIP’s staff.  In their speeches the Community Development Council members expressed their deepest gratitude to Azerbaijan Government, the World Bank, European Union, Shabran Rayon ExCom, AzRIP and "Umid” organization for their support. After the official ribbon cutting ceremony guests had a tour in the project site and thus the ceremony was ended.
