Local NGOs Umid and Simurg implemented the Public Education and Outreach Program under financial support of USAID and a line of World Learning in order to make civil society's participation in the State Program on Poverty Reduction and Economic Development more active.

The goal of the Program: To raise awareness of civil society, representatives of local governmental agencies and private sector about principles, implementation mechanism, implementation status of State Program on Poverty Reduction and Economic Development (SPPRED), as well as the role of governmental and donor agencies & promote more active participation of citizens, representatives of local governmental agencies and private sector through identifying their position in SPPRED implementation process.

This program will be carried out in 7 regions of the Republic - Guba, Nakhichevan, Shaki, Masalli, Shamakhi, Ganja and Ali Bayramli through Town Hall Meetings.

Two THMs have been carried out in Guba & Nakhichevan regions.
