"Umid" SSD PU organized apprenticeship courses for the most vulnerable asylum-seekers or those having disabled family members in 2003-2004 under the financial support of UNHCR. This performance of Umid is going on during 2005, too. For this purpose, a survey was conducted among 96 asylum-seeker youth, 24 youth (9 boys and 15 girls) out of them were selected to be involved in the apprenticeship courses.

Based on the selection of the youth, on-the-job trainings are planned to be provided on the following trades: hair-dresser and barber, cosmetologist, dress-maker and tailor, mobile phone repair and confectionery.
