In the course of the project titled "Initiative to support the socialization of management in education," which was implemented by "Umid" Social Development Support Public Union ("Umid” SSD) with the financial support of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the technical assistance of Baku City Education Department and Education Institute, a number of actions were carried out in the Hovsan community of Surakhani rayon. In order to get to know the project's target community and go over the potential for collaboration on the project, a meeting was conducted at the secondary school No. 280 named after Mehdi Mehdiyev, which is located in the Hovsan settlement. The meeting was attended by Huseyn Askerov, Deputy Head of the Baku Education Department, Israyil Isgandarov, Executive Director of "Umid" SSD, Project Manager Aflatun Verdiyev, local Municipal head, Deputy Executive Representative and school management. At the event, activities aimed at examining school-community interactions in the target community were reviewed and participants were provided with extensive information about the project implemented.

The subsequent event held as part of the project on October 19, 2022, was attended by the teaching staff of secondary school No. 280 named after Mehdi Mehdiyev, which is located in Hovsan settlement. Project manager Aflatun Verdiyev provided thorough information about the project, presented questionnaires with accompanying slides to be completed by school administration, teachers, and parents in order to examine school-community ties, and responded to questions from attendees.
