"Umid" Support to Social Development Public Union has successfully finished the project entitled "Initiative to Support the Socialization of Management in Education" implemented with the financial support of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan as of September 1, 2022.
The Education Institute of the Republic of Azerbaijan hosted a round table as part of the project on "Study of the current state of community-school relations and discussion of questionnaires on the participation of community members in the educational process," and the questionnaires were improved as a result of the recommendations made by the educational experts who attended the event.
In accordance with the project's action plan, surveys were carried out with the involvement of 423 individuals at the secondary school No. 280 in Hovsan community, Surakhani district, and the secondary school No. 262, in Turkan community, Khazar district, to ascertain the existing level of community-school connections. 72 teachers, 319 parents, 2 target high school principals, and 30 community members (entrepreneurs, influential persons, members of the Municipality, etc.) participated in the surveys. The presentation of the survey's findings on the current condition of community-school relations and community participation in the educational process took place during a round table on November 29, 2022, hosted by the Institute of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The educational experts who took part in the event shared their thoughts and offered recommendations about how to put the necessary measures into place to strengthen the bonds between the school and the community while also expanding the involvement of parents and other community members in the educational process.
A package of proposals was produced to be given to the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan based on the findings of surveys conducted as a consequence of the project and the opinions of education experts. The project had 430 total beneficiaries.
