The chairmen of a group of NGOs operating in Azerbaijan, following
the devastating earthquake in Turkiye registered magnitude 7.7 at 04:17
in Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş province, followed by
another of 7.6 dozens of miles away in Elbistan district at 1:24 p.m,
laid flowers in front of the Turkish Embassy in Baku to show solidarity
with the fraternal country and honor the memory of those who lost their
lives.
The
representatives of NGOs expressed deep condolences to the employees of
the embassy of the brotherly country, reiterating that all of Azerbaijan
is standing with Turkey during these trying times.
The
victims of this catastrophe were remembered, and those who were hurt
were prayed for to heal. NGOs from Azerbaijan stated that this tragedy
has deeply shaken the entire nation of Azerbaijan and they share the
anguish of brotherly Turkey during these tough times.
