A tree-planting action dedicated to the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev took place
In connection with the 100th anniversary of the birth of the
architect and founder of independent Azerbaijan, national leader Heydar
Aliyev, a tree-planting action was held in the Mushfigabad settlement of
Baku under the joint organization of the Ministry of Ecology and
Natural Resources and the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental
Organizations.
Vusal Guliyev, Head of the Non-Governmental
Organizations Department of the Presidential Administration, Mukhtar
Babayev, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, Aygun Aliyeva,
Executive Director of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental
Organizations, Ali Panahov and Samir Mammadov, responsible employees of
the Presidential Administration, Members of the Supervisory Board of the
Agency, Israil Iskenderov, Ilgar Orujov, Azer Allahverenov, Zaur
Ibrahimli, Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Firdovsi
Aliyev, more than 300 non-governmental organizations, media
representatives attended the action.
The main purpose of the action was to honor the great leader Heydar
Aliyev, who always placed a high value on environmental protection and
the well-being of our nation's environment. It also served to carry on
the National Leader's tradition of environmental preservation and to
advance ecological culture and the public's sense of responsibility for
the environment. The genius leader Heydar Aliyev established an
ecological policy, which is currently being successfully carried out by
his deserving successor, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham
Aliyev, and consistent steps are being taken in the direction of
environmental protection and ecological safety in our nation.
In
accordance with the climate of Baku and Absheron cities, more than
2,000 Eldar pine and olive trees were planted on 3 hectares of land
during the campaign, while the surrounding plants were taken care of and
the green zone was cleaned.
