As part of the project titled "IDP Community Mobilization and Capacity Development in Mingachevir, Goranboy, and Yevlakh,” which is funded by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and carried out by "Umid” Support to Social Development Public Union, a gathering was held in Malbinəsi community in Yevlakh district to select members for Community Development Council on April 5, 2023. The project staff from "Umid” SSD PU, the Deputy Executive Representative of Malbinəsi, and community members attended the meeting (50 people: 22 women, 28 men). At the gathering, the staff members from "Umid" SSD PU briefed the attendees on the project, as well as the duties of CDC members and the selection process. The community members proposed 9 candidates for CDC membership, acclaiming their ability, initiative, and activity in addressing local issues. An open vote was taken on each candidate during the meeting, and 9 people (4 women and 5 men) were selected as members of CDC.
