A Joint Briefing on the Recent Terrorist Act in Khojavand and Azerbaijani Army's Anti-Terrorism Efforts
A joint briefing was convened to address the recent terrorist incident resulting from the detonation of an anti-tank mine within the Khojavand region's territory, orchestrated by a subversive group affiliated with the Armenian armed forces operating within Azerbaijani territories. Additionally, the briefing covered the comprehensive anti-terrorism measures undertaken by the Azerbaijani Army in the Karabakh region.
The briefing featured prominent officials, including Tamerlan Rahimov, Head of the Press Service of the State Security Service, Elshad Hajiyev, Deputy Head of the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Avtandil Abbasov, Head of the Press Center of the State Border Service, and Kanan Zeynalov, Senior Prosecutor of the Press Service of the Prosecutor General's Office.
During the briefing, detailed information was provided concerning the recent terrorist act perpetrated by Armenian forces.
Tamerlan Rahimov, Head of the Press Service of the State Security Service, highlighted the terrorist incident that transpired in Khojavand on September 19 and underscored the ongoing collaborative efforts of investigative and operational units to address this criminal act carried out by Armenian armed forces.
Elshad Hajiyev, Deputy Head of the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, emphasized the heightened state of alertness among Ministry of Internal Affairs personnel across the nation in response to the local anti-terrorism measures enforced by the Azerbaijani Army in Karabakh. He conveyed that strict directives have been issued to Azerbaijani law enforcement agencies and personnel to take resolute actions against potential provocations, threats, and unlawful activities within Azerbaijani society.
Kanan Zeynalov, Senior Prosecutor of the Press Service of the General Prosecutor's Office, assured that the perpetrators responsible for this heinous act will be identified and held accountable. He further disclosed that the investigation is being diligently carried out by proficient operational investigative teams within the relevant institutions.
Avtandil Abbasov, Head of the Press Center of the State Border Service, stressed that our units exercise complete control over operational conditions along all border directions. He asserted, "We are taking the necessary steps to safeguard and protect our state borders. The Defense Ministry is fully prepared to respond swiftly with appropriate and stringent countermeasures in the event of any provocations."
