With the generous financial support of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations in the Republic of Azerbaijan, the "Legal Analysis and Research" Public Union has been actively working on the "Assessment of the Current State of NGOs" project. During the event, Ramil Iskanderli, Chairman of the "Legal Analysis and Research" Public Union, Aygun Aliyeva, Executive Director of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations, along with members of the Agency's Supervisory Board - Zaur Ibrahimov, Israyil Isgandarov, and Azer Allahverenov, as well as leaders of various NGOs, delivered insightful speeches.
The project involved a comprehensive assessment of non-governmental organizations operating in Azerbaijan through online surveys, individual in-depth interviews, and focus group discussions. Key areas examined in the research encompassed the legal and administrative environment, access to human resources, financial stability and diversification, the capacity to influence decisions, and media relations, all of which are critical for the effective functioning of civil society organizations.
The event featured extensive discussions on the research document's findings and recommendations, with the results being deemed highly valuable.
