He
emphasized that these elections represent the most accurate and
consistent response to those who may struggle with the full independence
of Azerbaijan.
"At present, Azerbaijan has created the most
conducive conditions for holding elections. As a representative of civil
society, leading an organization with extensive experience in
collaborating with communities nationwide, and serving as a civil
society expert representing our country in various international forums,
I can confidently assert that our observations within the communities
we engage with indicate that the population is likely to participate
more willingly in the electoral process. Motivated by the significant
victory, the initiation of the process of returning to Karabakh, and the
enhanced international standing of the country, voter turnout is
anticipated to surpass previous elections. With a higher level of civic
engagement, voters are poised to make more informed decisions," stated
Israyil Isgandarov.
Addressing the potential for ensuring election
transparency, the executive director of the Public Union added that the
NGO sector will exhibit greater activism in these elections compared to
previous ones: "Over 6 thousand NGO representatives have been issued
observation cards to monitor the presidential elections. This marks a
nearly fourfold increase from the number of observers in the 2018
presidential elections."
