Azerbaijani NGOs participated in the tree-planting campaign organized in memory of hundreds of Kenyans who lost their lives as a result of heavy rains that occurred in the country a few days ago, on National Tree Growing Day in Kenya.
Parvana Valiyeva, a member of the COP29 Organizing Committee, and executive director of the Service for Health Public Union, emphasized that the natural disaster in Kenya demonstrates the consequences of global climate change.
Amin Mammadov, Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and Deputy Chairman of the Public Union of Experts in the Field of Water Use, noted that 2024 is the Green World Solidarity Year and the participation in this action should be considered as a symbol of Azerbaijan's global struggle for a greener world.
Roza Safikhanli, deputy head of Azerbaijan Campaign Against Landmines Public Union, pointed out that a safe world is important for everyone.

The chairman of the National Council of Azerbaijan Youth Organizations, Rafael Hajibayli, emphasized that the youth of Azerbaijan are also working for a green world, and by participating in this tree-planting action, they show solidarity with their Kenyan colleagues.
