Location: Goranboy and Samukh regions

Project objective:  To promote and build capacity on innovative technologies and approaches to effective energy use in target communities.

Outcomes and achievements:

  1. For the purpose of energy audits of community objects, "Energy Audit” Instructions and training packages on 5 topics were developed for awareness raising of target subjects about energy efficiency;
  2. Energy audit of 19 entrepreneurship objects, 12 public buildings and 136 individual farms was conducted in 4 communities;
  3. Training sessions on 5 topics ("Effective usage of energy through insulation”, "Effective usage of electric energy” "Alternative energy sources”, "Effective usage of energy through using firewood and utilization materials” and "Efficient usage of blue fuel energy”) were provided to 19 entrepreneurship subjects, 12 public buildings and 136 individual farms in 4 communities (Veyisli, Sarov, Seyidler and Alibayramli) in 2 regions (Goranboy and Samukh);
  4. Total 237 people (66 women, 171 men) attended the training sessions;
  5. Information science room of Sarov rural secondary school of Goranboy region was insulated, window glasses of the room were changed and cables were isolated for the purpose of safe usage of electric energy;
  6. Based on results of final audit, energy expenses of the objects decreased by 15%, basic reason of which was awareness-raising of target subjects about energy efficiency.
