Outcomes and achievements:

  • Star and Nascent communities as more experienced and skillful ones were selected and developed their capacities through application of the Living University Conception, capacity development of Municiplaities, ExComs and community groups. Training sessions on 10 topics were provided for Star community leaders. Star CG and Municipality leaders (177 people – 24 women, 153 men) participated in these training sessions;
  • 25 round tables on 5 topics (Community Management, Community Fund and its Management, Needs Assessment, Needs Evaluation and Project Proposal Writing, Team Work and Leadership) were organized for Star CG and Municipality board members. 286 people (102 women, 184 men) participated in these round tables;
  • 66 round tables on «Community Management», «Community Fund and its Management», «Filing the community documents» were arranged in 33 communities targeted under CIP-II. Number of participants of these round tables comprised 728 people (253 women, 475 men);
  • 5 round tables on «Intra-community and inter-communities integration» and «Networking» were arranged in Star and Nascent communities, 2 cross visits were organized for transferring the best practices of communities;
  • Community meetings on market assessment of the youth were arranged in the target area, «Development of the youth’s way of life» surveys were conducted in Star and Nascent communities with participation of 356 youth (197 boys, 159 girls);
  • During the reporting period, the information about 160 entrepreneurs (149 men, 11 women) active in the target area, as well as their businesses were included in the database. BDS needs of 86 entrepreneurs were defined, 70 entrepreneurs (42 men, 28 women) received «Credit and its Management» training;
  • 61 youth, populated in the target area, attended vocational skills development training sessions through apprenticeship methos (hairdresser – 30 people, dressmaker – 10 people, barber – 11 people, weaver – 3 people, auto motor repair – 2 people, auto electrician – 2 people, auto-metal craftsman – 1 person, computer programming – 1 person, computer repair – 1 person), and received on-the-job training on 9 trades;
  • Assessment was conducted for organization of apprenticeship courses, and 24 trade-masters were involved in the program for providing on-the-job training on various trades. 21 trade-masters received ToT;
  • Taking into consideration appeals of 27 youth, completed apprenticeship courses and willing to start their businesses, consultations on business plan development were provided to them. In accordance with the action plan, «Stock taking», «Business plan development» and «Credit and its Management» training sessions were arranged for the apprentices. 19 youth received JSEP grants in amount of 10 731 AZN, and started their businesses;
  • 5-day training sessions on «Development of the youth’s personal features» were conducted for the youth involved in the apprenticeship courses, as well as the youth participated in a survey conducted for selection of the apprentices. 40 youth (30 girls, 10 boys) participated in these training sessions.
