Expected outcomes:

  • Games, contests, quiz activities for the schoolchildren will raise children’s motivation, interest in studies and activate their social lives. Totally 72 of such activities will be arranged during the project period;
  • Work of Junior Academy of Sciences (JAS) - There are so-called ‘Junior Academy of Sciences’ formed at schools in the previous project period. JAS are voluntary unions of talented students interested in creative and scientific-research activities having potential in this field. JAS will continue their activities and 72 meetings will be held with its members;
  • Newspaper Publishing -«Youth Newspaper» will be published once a month for 3 schools. Editorial staff of this newspaper will consist of pupils; as well as active schoolchildren, the activists of circles will publish their articles and materials in this newspaper. The newspaper will be prepared by the editorial staff itself and will be photocopied. It is planned to publish the newspaper in 800 circulations on 2 (A4) pages. Every month by the decision of the editorial staff of the newspaper 3 more interesting articles on important problems will be submitted to one of the local newspapers;
  • Within the framework of this project the partners propose the model of involving students of senior grades in apprenticeship courses in order to enhance their business and vocational capacities, provide them with entrepreneurship skills and practice the newly obtained knowledge and capacities. 3 groups will be formed each comprising of 15-20 persons and will conduct discussions for development of the concept of business in the pupils of senior classes, will provide trainings on the course «Basic business concept and entrepreneurship», business consulting, will organize meeting of successful businessmen of the target area with the pupils of senior classes;
  • 8 active participants who have gained basic business skills and concepts will be involveed to apprenticeship courses;
  • The on-the-job training sessions (apprenticeship courses) will be provided by professional trade-masters on various trades (mobile phone repair, confectionery, hairdresser, making and repair of plastic door and windows, radio and TV set repair etc.) selected depending on the youth’s interest and through assessment;
  • They will get a chance to acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical skills through participating in the apprenticeship courses;
  • The schoolchildren will participate in business training sessions, will acquire the knowledge about the business, and will be informed about ways of treatment with clients and business management.
