The organization Save the Children has been functioning in direction of development of 48 communities, improvement of their social and economical state in 7 western regions - Yevlakh, Goranboy, Samukh, Shemkir, Gazakh, Tovuz and Aghstafa within this program.

The aim of Umid in this project is to improve skills and knowledge of community groups established by the organization of Save the Children, in community direction. To achieve this, each Community Group is separately provided with trainings on 4 subjects:

• Needs Assessment. Project Proposal Writing;

• Long-term Activity Plan of Community;

• Sustainability and Management plan.

• A structure of community groups was determined for community management;

• A community fund was formed in each community and communities gained skills for its management;

• Communities prepared future 2-3-year measures plan;

• Needs Assessment. Project Proposal Writing.

Community groups gained skills in provision of sustainability of projects being implemented in the community and in preparation of qualitative management plan for measures to be taken on project.

Goranboy region is one where the mos t measures are taken in direction of community development. Unlike developed communities of the region today Muzdurlar community is beyond all these measures. Muzdurlar community had no experience of work with International and Local NGOs when the organization Save the Children began its activity in this community within Social Investment Program. Thus it made some difficulties in needs assessment and their solution. When creating a community group in initial community meeting each community member didn’t believe these works to be realized. But in a short period of time this disbelief was substituted with, albeit a trifle, trust. Trainings provided by Save the Children and Umid HSSC played not less role in generation of this trust. It is result of the trainings that community group managed to mobilize the community, to win trust among community members and to get successful result on account of internal and external resources of the community in a short period of activity.

In general, the construction project School , the most global problem of the community, began to be implemented under financial support of the organization Save the Children and on account of internal resources of the community. Their successful results raise trust towards Rasul muellim, the leader of the community.

Members of  Muzdurlar community look ahead with confidence, because Muzdurlar Community Group- a small organization functioning for improving their living level and for development of the community, work with great enthusiasm. All these successes are appreciated as a product of cooperation of Community group, the organization Save the Children, Umid and Muzdurlar community.
