It is 2 years that Umid HSSC has been implementing the project Care to early IDP children through the training and community participation under financial support of UNICEF.

The goal of the project:

Psychological rehabilitation, ensuring comprehensive development of IDP children hurt by war, with wide participation of training and community , and extension of their future perspectives

Project objectives:

  • Capacity building of nurseries working in Children’s Development Centers (CDC), establishment of 10 Teacher-Parent Unions and funds;

  • Supporting IDP communities and CDCs through involving central and local authorities;

  • Formation of atmosphere for development of children: provision with visual aids.

Within past period 178 round Tables were conducted with participation of parents and nurseries in 34 Centers. The round tables aimed at establishment and extension of relations with community members and local management bodies.

Outcomes got during round tables:

  • Teacher-Parent Unions and Union Activity Groups were established in 10 Children’s Development Centers (CDC);

  • Job divisions were determined within groups;

  • Funds were established in 10 Children’s Development Centers;

  • Visual aids for lessons are being prepared by nurseries themselves.

Regional meetings were held in 14 September in Aghdam Guzanli CDC and in 20 October in Fizuli region Bala Behmenli village to ensure that Children’s Development Centers (CDC) have close acquaintance with each other and extend relationship, exchange experience among them, and follow good experience.

Meetings were attended by leaders, nurseries of 18 CDCs, representatives of local ExCom, municipalities and parents of Aghdam, Mingachevir, Shaki, Khanlar, Fizuli, Sabirabad, Saatli, Imishli and Bilesuvar regions.

During meetings the participants made discussions and suggestions in direction of existing difficulties and their solution.

During meetings there were organized exhibitions demonstrating handicrafts of parents, nurseries and community members.
