October 3: Sugovushan's Liberation Day from Occupation

On
October 3, 2020, after 26 years under enemy control, the village of
Sugovushan was finally liberated by the Victorious Army of Azerbaijan,
and our proud flag once again waved over our ancestral lands. Following
our initial triumph in the Patriotic War, the name "Madagiz" was
officially changed to its historical name, "Sugovushan," by the order of
the Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, restoring historical
justice.
Today Marks the International Day of Older Persons

On September 28, the latest meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations in the Republic of Azerbaijan took place. During this meeting, discussions revolved around the grant competitions scheduled for 2024, which were subsequently approved. The decision was made to officially announce small, medium, and large grant competitions by the Agency in October 2023.
Additionally, matters pertaining to the regulations established by the Cabinet of Ministers were deliberated upon.

commemorate Memorial Day today, the team from the Agency for State
Support Agency to Non-Governmental Organizations in the Republic of
Azerbaijan, along with representatives from over 300 non-governmental
organizations, paid a visit to Fakhri Alley and the I and II Martyrs'
Alleys. We honored the memory of the Great Leader with deep respect and
laid wreaths on the graves of the heroes who sacrificed their lives for
our Motherland. It was a moment to express the pride that all of
Azerbaijan feels for these courageous individuals.
The city of Shusha has been designated as the Cultural Capital of the Islamic World for 2024

This prestigious recognition was announced at the 12th Conference of Ministers of Culture of the Islamic World in Doha, Qatar. During the conference, Minister of Culture Adil Karimli passionately presented Shusha's candidacy, emphasizing its profound cultural significance and historical importance as the cradle of our culture.
Shusha holds a unique place in the historical, cultural, social, and political life of Azerbaijan and stands as a symbol of Islamic civilization. In 2022, Azerbaijan celebrated the "Year of Shusha" with a series of vibrant cultural events, including music festivals, poetry days, and numerous local and international cultural gatherings. Notably, the International Organization of Turkish Culture (TURKSOY) honored Shusha as the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World for 2023.

Business Training Sessions Conducted at "Yevlakh SME House" within the UNHCR’s project related to IDPs

As part of the project titled "IDP Community Mobilization and Capacity Development in Mingachevir, Goranboy, and Yevlakh,” which is funded by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and carried out by "Umid” Support to Social Development Public Union ("Umid” SSD PU), training sessions on "Business Plan” and "Introduction to Entrepreneurship” were conducted at the Yevlakh Aran Regional Development Center of the Small-Medium Business Development Agency.
A total of 50 individuals (29 men and 21 women) participated in the training, including 30 young people from internally displaced families selected as part of the "Apprenticeship” component of the project from the target communities, along with 20 individual entrepreneurs. During these training sessions, participants received comprehensive instruction on fundamental entrepreneurial skills, including business concepts, business idea development and assessment, various business types, and the essentials of a business plan. Here's how insured individuals can benefit from this service:
- Access your personal cabinet on the emas.sosial.gov.az portal and navigate to the "Social Insurance Payment Calculator" section.
- Select the specific type of social insurance payment you're interested in from the dropdown menu.
- Enter the required information corresponding to your chosen payment type.
- Upon clicking the "Calculate" button, you will instantly see the amount of social insurance payment due to you displayed on the screen.

A general meeting was convened on September 21, 2023, at the secondary schools No. 280 named after M. Mehdiyev in Hovsan settlement, Baku, and No. 262 located in Turkan settlement, Khazar district as part of the project "Initiative to improve the school’s reputation through the development of the school community” carried out by "Umid” Support to Social Development Public Union ("Umid” SSD) and T-NETWORK, an educators’ experience and communication platform, with funding from the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and technical support from Baku city Education Department. During the meeting, certificates were presented to participants who had completed training in eight different topics, and the School Development Council's action plan for the upcoming academic year was deliberated upon.
