This project aims to establish student groups and clubs with shared interests, challenges, and objectives within secondary schools. These groups will identify and prioritize their problems, forming around areas such as economics, employment, art, creativity, culture, sports, environmental health, and other "common" interests. They will mobilize resources to tackle these problems, involving local authorities, NGOs, associations, and businesses.
The overarching goal of the project is to increase the public and social involvement of students by creating groups/clubs that empower them to recognize and resolve their own issues. The project tasks include: 1) identifying student groups/clubs based on common interests, and 2) facilitating collaboration among these groups/clubs to address problems and enhance their skills.
The project is designed to create a minimum of 4 groups/clubs, such as "Filmmakers and Photography," "Art and Culture," "Literature and Poetry," "Eco Club," "Music and Drama (Theatre)," etc. Each group/club will consist of 10-12 members, who will refine their domain-specific skills and improve their overall life skills (behavior and public presentation) through training sessions on "Group Formation and Development" and "Event Organization."

"Umid" Social Development Support Public Union ("Umid" SSD) has started the implementation of the project titled "Initiative to Support the Socialization of Management in Education" with the financial support of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The project is scheduled to take place between September 1 and November 30, 2022. The city of Baku is the project's target area.

The main idea of the project is to identify a) possibilities for studying and improving the current state of community-school (parent-teacher, school-parent, entrepreneur-community, etc.) relations in the target schools, b) environmental factors required to increase community participation (entrepreneurs operating in the community, influential persons living in the community, local government bodies, parents, etc.) in educational process and preparing proposals for improving these relations.

"Umid" Support to Social Development Public Union has initiated to implement the project titled "Support to local government and self-government bodies" in fulfilling the obligations specified in implementing the National Action Plan (AP) for the Promotion of Open Government 2020-2022 approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated February 27, 2020, No. 1859. The project will be carried out under the Empowering Civil Society Organizations for Transparency (ECSOFT) program funded by USAID Azerbaijan Mission. The project covers the period from March 2 to July 31, 2022.

As of July 2017, "Umid" Social Development Support Public Union had begun to implement the project titled "Organizing Activities on Publicizing NGOs Sustainability Index and Public Benefit" with the financial support of the Council of State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and technical support of Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management. The project had been implemented for 5 months (July 1 - December 1, 2017).

"Umid” Support to Social Development Public Union has initiated to implement the project titled "Organizing Awareness-Raising Activities on Healthy Lifestyle and Preventive Measures on Substance Abuse at the Community Level” with the financial support of the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The methodology of the project is to contribute to a healthy lifestyle of adolescents and young adults, to break bad habits and to prepare healthy youth for society.
